YUM updates (6102R)
Feature updates for Aventurin{e} 6102R have been released.
A large number of GUI related updates and fixes for the CentOS v4.8 based Aventurin{e} 6102R have been released, matching those released a few days ago for the CentOS v5.4 based Aventurin{e} 6105R:
These improvements include:
1.) Split local & remote backup:
It is now possible to run the local and remote backup at different times and different days. For example you can run the local backup at 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while you run the remote backup on 3:00 a.m. on the weekdays in between. This is entirely up to you.
The command line tool /usr/sausalito/sbin/vz_vserver_backup.pl now takes optional arguments. If run without arguments it performs local and remote backup. If called with the parameter "local" it performs local backup only. If called with the option "remote" it performs the remote backup only.
2.) Fixes:
- VPS's not owned by "admin" or a "customer user" are now automatically assigned to be owned by "admin".
- VPS's without file area (like VPS's vzmigrated off the server or which were deleted outside the GUI) will no longer be shown in the GUI.
- A bug existed in the GUI which potentially created multiple database objects with backup settings for VPS's. Also, backup settings for manually deleted or vzmigrated VPS's were not removed. This has been fixed and redundant database objects that are a leftover of this bug will be deleted automatically now.
- Graphical statistics for VPS's that have been deleted manually or which have been vzmigrated off will no longer be shown.
- Miniature VPS list in VPS management is now shown only once. This was also related to "ghost" database entries.
- Upon change of the "sample config" for a VPS a blank page was shown in the GUI. This has been fixed. Additionally the change of the "sample config" now no longer requires a restart of the VPS in question.
- A problem with the license type "Blade-Edition (1VPS)" was fixed. This license now works as intended.
- The button "Add Virtual Server" is now (again) removed from the GUI if you already have as many VPS's as your license allows.
- Upon installation of the "split local & remote backup" functionality a script is run that automatically converts the old backup settings and schedules to the new format.
- The amount of memory present on the master node will now be shown correctly in the "Hardware Information" page.
